Survey Research Initiative

Welcome to the Survey Research Initiative at TC!

The Teachers College Survey Research Initiative (SRI) uses student, teacher, and parent surveys to collect data and generate reports on school climate, stakeholder satisfaction/engagement, and 360 principal evaluations. Operated by Teachers College, Columbia University, SRI is managed by knowledgeable and experienced TC faculty who have expertise in survey design, statistics, leadership, education reform, and technology. In collaboration with SRI, states, school districts, schools, and educational organizations can easily survey a variety of stakeholders within the school community. Our mission is to provide K-12 educators, administrators, and policymakers with unbiased, constructive, and timely feedback to help clients with strategic planning and school improvement efforts.

With the recent passage of the Every Student Succeeds Act, SRI is especially well-positioned to help you measure non-academic outcomes, as part of your local accountability plan. We can assist you in understanding what measures to use, and how best to evaluate them. For more information on what ESSA is and how SRI can help, please refer to our EVERY STUDENT SUCCEEDS ACT page.
